You
can relax on the front deck rockers - sipping your morning coffee - as you look
out across the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and the quaint town of Bryson
City in the heart of The Smoky Mountains. Bryson City, the county seat of Swain
County, has approximately 2000 year-round residents and it's central location
offers an endless array of day-trips to nearby Asheville, Gatlinburg, Cades Cove,
Joyce Killmer Memorial Forest, Cherohala Skyway and Chimney Rock just to name
a few. Listen to the sound of water splashing on the rocks in the goldfish pond.
When you are ready to venture out and experience the adventures that await you
- all within just a few miles of the cabin- there are many choices. Spend your
day whitewater rafting on the Nantahala River - one of the nation's most popular
whitewater rivers- boating and swimming on Fontana Lake- with the highest dam
east of the Rockies- hiking through the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, mountain
biking over the trails at Tsali, trout fishing on the Tuckeseegie River, horse
back riding on mountain trails with some of the most spectacular views you'll
ever see, discover Island Park just 5 minutes from the cabin, or try panning for
gems in the local Ruby mines, riding the rails on the Great Smoky Mountain Railway,
strolling through unique gift and antique shops or testing your luck at Harrah's
Casino in Cherokee, and when you're done........ sit back and enjoy the wonderful
sensation of a relaxing soak in the hot tub at A Cedar Tree Cottage!
The
hot tub sits in a secluded fenced in brick patio under a giant cedar and towering
hemlocks to create a romantic setting. Light the candles, pop the cork and relax
- the perfect ending to a fun filled day in the Smokies!
Fine
dining is just a five minute walk away - visit the historical Fryemont Inn or
the Randolph House right up the hill from the cottage.
